    Hello.

I made this talk room because I had a question in lesson.

When I learned in Lesson 1, new words about kinds of shoes, the example sentence was 〇〇 is 〇〇 to walk in. Then, I was wondering, what is difference between “walk” and ”walk in”?

    Hello!

    Good question!

“walk in” is used when we talk about the feeling of walking using some footwear like shoes or boots or skis.

Ex “skis are hard to walk in.” “My sneakers are great for walking in.”

Hello. I have a question again. What’s the difference between ”affordable” and ”reasonable”?

My image is that affordable is ”afford” + ”able”. So, when we save enough money, we can buy… Is it correct?

        Hi 😊

        Good question!

        Yes, you’re right!

The meaning is similar when talking about buying something.

The biggest difference is “reasonable” can also be used to talk about people, or other things.

        Ex. “She’s a reasonable person.” , “I think that’s a reasonable plan.”

          Thank you for your message!!

Reasonable plan? Is it like we can understand or agree why that plan is so?

          That’s right!

The closest translations in that case would be 合理的 or 妥当
